Quick reference chart for noobs


couple of things jumped out,... might be more.



6 Meters: (50.000 - 54.000MHz)

50.000 - 50.100 MHz CW Only

50.100 - 50.300 MHz SSB (50.125 SSB Calling)

50.300 - 50.600 MHz All modes



50.1 to 50.3 is not SSB only,..... (yeah, even the ARRL has it wrong on their site too)

50.100 - 50.125 DX window



60 Meters: Five Specific Channels,

100 watts PEP.

ch 1 - 5.330.50 MHz (USB phone) & CW/RTTY/data

ch 2 - 5.346.50 MHz (USB phone) & CW/RTTY/data

ch 3 - 5.357.00 MHz (USB phone) & CW/RTTY/data

ch 4 - 5.371.50 MHz (USB phone) & CW/RTTY/data

ch 5 - 5.403.50 MHz (USB phone) & CW/RTTY/data


thats 100 watts ERP.

Maybe add what the privileges are on each band for the different license classes.
Not a big thing but the code characters have spacing problems the way they are represented. I am sure it is just the way they come out with what you use to type them but they look funny that way.
There are all kinds of things you can add to it. It just depends on what you want in the end.
 
Something to keep in mind with any 'band plan' is that it's only a -suggestion-, it isn't 'written in stone' by any means. If you want to know what you can/can't do read that Part-97, it tells you all of it.
I've seen some real 'bloopers' in the ARRL's plans...

Under the "signal reports", I'd keep them in RST order (two vertical columns), but with a footnote indicating that "Tone" applies to CW transmissions only.

For 145: there are quite a few "Morse Code" fonts, but I've only seen one or two where a printed "dah" was precisely three times as .long as the printed "dit". That's why you have to learn code by the sound...

...unless you're trying to use flashing light to communicate. Then the traditional 3:1 element ratio has to go out the window when visibility is limited.

yeah i wanted to add more but i was limited to what i can put on the page so i just made it for the class i am on... I can all so make one for tech and extra
but this is more for quick look..
