Radio/parts shortages possible?

I read an article about US vs Mexico auto workers one time. It’s been a bit, so I’m “winging” the actual figures.

Basically, it boiled down to a US auto worker costing the company $40/hr by the time health care, retirement, and other benefits were figured in.

The same $40 would get a 60/hr workweek from a Mexican.

Actually the $40.00 figure is too low. Most line workers get paid almost that much.

I believe it, but it was dated a few years and I’m winging the figures.

What I remember the most is that 1 hr labor cost = a 60hr workweek in Mexico.

And we safely can assume that employee has ZERO job security, and no where near the safety regulations and requirements in place here in the US.

I worked for a company that an assembly plant in Mexico and people came to work in their good clothes and went home almost as clean when they showed up.
The factory floor were so clean they shined. The factory in Texas looked like a slum in comparison. People in Texas were paid almost double minimum wage. The people in Mexico were paid about $4.00 dollars a day. For some reason they were motivated to a higher level than the U.S. Workers.
