Radio Repair Review- DTB Radio

Recently my base radio was acting up. It was touchy when changing channels...skipping channels and showed what I thought was a decrease in power output.

After asking locals I learned that we didn't have anybody in our area that was recommended.

Thanks to the people here at WWRF who have made the recommendation of DTB Radio in PA, I had a place to send my radio.

I live close enough to DTB that UPS had my radio to DTB overnight. And DTB was on it right away. The communication with DTB tremendous.

After an alignmment and a good cleaning of old switches and addressing a modulation issue, DTB determined that the output was fine. Guess my meter is getting stingy.

So I could have been taken for a ride on the reapairs to finals or who knows what else, but I was not and the radio was returned after 2 days working better than when I sent it away and at a fair price.

So my 2 thumbs are up to DTB radio.

Good, honest service deserves a recommendation so put me in the group of those who recommend DTB Radio. They will certainly get my radio service in the future as well a great recommendation to the locals from me.

Thank you WWRF members and thank you DTB Radio.

DTB has saved me lots of money fixing things right the first time. I never pretend to be a radio tech. I have a basic understanding of electronics. I appreciate the way Dave tunes radios. Recently had him redo some radios I had tuned by a local tech. Now if I can just remember- If it ain't broke, then don't fix it. I drove out from Pittsburgh to his shop. Nice drive across I-68 through Maryland.

Nice to hear of a good outcome and not more complaints. I must agree my radios will go here for repairs now as I was informed that my local shop will be closing in May due to one of the owners going through divorce. I have heard nothing but good reports for DTB.

Being a Truck Driver for 36+ yrs. that was a long way around to get to Dave's shop from Pittsburgh to Carlisle/Harrisburg Pa. Must say though, I-68 is a beautiful drive in a 4-wheeler ( Car )
