I put a switch on the back of my n2 to kill the internal amp. Switched off and turned all the way up I'm dead keying about 2 watts swinging to 25-30. With a Cobra XL250 behind it I get great audio and signal reports. That's what I run on base.
I just took a 69vhp home and I love it. Best receive on an export so far. I had my hot rod lincoln 2 with rt1s rwob and rc-ncp on the bench showing my boss and a customer just had to have it lol.
I have been wanting one of these ever since I got to run a 69fcb4 for a weekend.
I am prety sure this has the same board as the 69 base but if someone could confirm I would apreciate.
The number one thing I like about these radios is the receive. Very plesant not hissy like many modern exports, rhe uniden washington is the only radio I have used with less white noise.
