Jeff,

This is the first of this rumor as there has been a few since the reforming of the Ranger Communications sales office in the USA. Interesting how these things start and change over time.
Ranger Communications is a leading OEM supplier to companies all over the world and goes far beyond CB and 10 meter radio. Ranger Communications has several manufacturing plants. Currently we have four modern manufacturing facilities situated in Malacca, Malaysia, Shanghai, China and our headquarters in Shulin, Taiwan. We have state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment such as SMD machineries and sophisticated automatic in-line testing equipment (ATE). We manufacture a wide range of family products which includes Marine Radio, Citizen Band Radio, Vehicle Communication System, Rural Telephones, Intercoms, Hand Held Transceivers and Amateur Band Radio. The frequency range covers HF, VHF, UHF and 800 MHZ frequency band. As we understand the changing needs of our valued customers in the international markets, RANGER® has set up a Research and Development Department in each of our plants. Ranger Communications continues to grow with the additions of more OEM customers. In 2010 we added the new Mirage® company as another OEM customer. Here is a first look at the next product by Ranger Communications and there is many more to come. These will be available the end of June to Distributors in the USA. I have also attached spec sheets with pictures of the Mirage MX-36hp and the RCI69FFC4.

Included were pictures of the RHF 618
The RCI 69FFc4, and the Mirage MX-36hp that I will include here...

I agree. Looks like an interesting rig. Covers 24.5 - 29.655, CW, AM, SSB. No splits, but that's OK since it doesn't quite cover the entire 10M FM band. I'm seriously considering the 69FFC2, the 175W job. Very shiny radio, BTW...

y not this one 400 watts rci new bad boy .believe it has 4x2879s
Too much for me! 400W plus? That'll suck my alternator through the radio and put it on the air! 175W is good enough for me!

I mentioned that 69FFC4 to some ham friends and they were astounded at the power!
