I need to get an rf samplere put together, ai have an analog scope and some attenuators.Let's see what the life span is on those dudes. How clean is the output on the scope?
Those fets could be fun to experiment.
Wow. Great I would also like to see how long they last. Hopefully longer than the factory finals. It did about 40 before Maybe 45. with the old finals dk on am low was 2 watts high was 15 watts, after the new finals dk on low was 15 high was 40, and it had no trouble holding that dead key. I turned down the am power but I am still putting out 80peak on ssb and 50w on fm. we will see how long they last.
I have been talking some fm skip today, making good contacts. The needle on my mfj shows between 50 & 55 watts And It doesent seem to run any hotter than it did with the stock finals.Wow. Great I would also like to see how long they last. Hopefully longer than the factory finals.
I found it a little while ago, unfortunatley even when adjusted to the minimum output on low is 10 watts. The radio works very well barefoot and would make an excellent driver for a 4 pill with these "snake oil" finals. I talked a lot of 50 watt barefoot fm skip.
This is the closest I have found on the web, it's for the Galaxy DX94. Appears to be the same 4-MOSFET amp board.I have one for the 2970dx but it doesn't have any info on the amp.
Just like the RM Italy's RM3 mosfets the sanded off unknowns. So now we have the RT1 RT3 RT5 and RT6... That I know of.

It's just crazy! They're going too far with the rebranding parts and then no info on replacements.
hey can we use FQP13N10?Not impressed by the RT-1. Just replaced four of them in a fairly-new 2995DX.
Used IRF520s. So far so good.
