RCI 2980 - no low power control

Yea, for the 2980 it uses the 754, 817, 827, tip36c, maxmod, etc...

Whereas the radio he's working on is the older style that probably uses the 1419s.
 
On the older type radios you're working on, if they have the 1419 regulator in it, then I'd toss that thang as far as I could and install an 1135 or 6487g.
Thanks for the tip on the replacement parts. It does have a 1419 for an AM modulator. It wasn't secured to the case when I got the radio, so it may be a bad part already. I'll find out soon enough.
