RCI 2980

I may have forgotten to mention the radio in my pics is the wx version, that is
probably why the power supply and main board are different.

Most folks add 2 variable knobs to adjust the echo. Looking at the back they mount them in the upper left corner of the back. This vid might help.




Yes I watched that video.

Where he says to take the two screws out to get access to the echo/delay pots my RCI 2980 has a board that is enclosed in a metal shield. You can clearly see it in the pictures I posted. Big wire plug that plugs into the shielded board goes to what looks like the frequency counter on mine.

No idea how I am going to move the shield out of the way to access the echo board.

Edit: Think I figured it out. The whole shielded board looks like it can be removed, but I will have to pull the bottom cover off to access the shield mounting screws. Then that will give me access to the echo board. What a PITA this is going to be!
