Yep VS, this is RULE # 1 when ordering from a website. You have to call them first and ask if the item is in stock and if so, when can they ship.
It was eBay. Not even a cb shop. I think because mu buddy didn't want to pay for the $70 mod and e chip he refunded.
Can't sell something on ebay that's out of stock, plus the dick said he had 7 left.
He deserves neg feedback. I'd whip neg feedback on him big time.
Refund...still pending. And he is going to receive negative fb. Does sparkyscbshack sell this radio ? My buddy wants one...im trying to talk him into a icom...since he is getting his ticket but he really likes the rci2995dx and its perfect for hia needs built in power supply built in linear.

anyways so i logged into my buddys ebay. refund is not even showing up. my buddy used ebay checkout through paypal without a ID... thats how he always ordered through ebay. he is worried he wont get his money back. the guy isnt answering his phone now the auction the seller had is now off..which more then likely means he got busted by ebay for trying to sell illegal cb rigs... and the worst of it all i feel like its my fault!
all i did was find him a radio for his needs and for a good price. bank was called no refund showing up. i swear what is wrong with people
when you use check out through ebay and you use a Credit card or debt card without logging into PAYPAL your still covered right?

Paypal waits until the original transaction fully completes before refunding.
It's usually never a good idea to phone the seller. It's best to communicate thru ebay messaging since you will have a written record of what's discussed.

Can the 2995DX be ran off 12v ?
Like all base radios that have built powersupply for AC have a switch and a plug in the rear incase u dont have ac u can run it off a battery.
They do not have a DC power plug on back but external power wires are easily added I used to add them to Galaxy Saturns and Galaxy Saturn Turbos. Just add the wires to where the hot and ground wires come out of the internal power supply and enter or attatch to the main circuit board of the radio. Just makesure you ALWAYS add a fuse link to your power wires.
