The EEI Turbo-Tune will eventually cause the radio to die, and they never even touched the RX. Not to even mention how it is probably dirty as hell on TX.
My locals 6 or 7 year old RCI 2990 which was modified/tuned by EEI has been working very well without any problems.
In my opinion the radio sounds great on TX/AM and the RX works just as well as any other aligned/tuned Galaxy-Ranger base radio that I have ever heard.
That may be so and I am very happy for you, I guess it really matters who the tech was that worked on it, for some reason the name Jason comes to my mind as the tech who did my 2950DX and it was a mess, Richard fixed it and it was great after that. I agree, do not fix it since it is working just know that Richard is a tech very familiar with the TURBLOW TUNE
