I have a Lafayette Comstat 23 , which I've talked about before ... and a Kris 23+ . I want to do an Electrolytic Capacitor update to them both , but I have no idea where to find recap kits for older radios . So I was wondering if anyone here might have an idea on where I can locate recap kits for old school radios like these ?

Thanks

get this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/SAMS-Photo...890447?hash=item23c12e454f:g:2g0AAOSwoyhdKagL

and number 45 from here:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Sa...308482?hash=item264958b8c2:g:j8wAAOSwBLxfg2dT

in these manuals you will find a parts list that will include a list of the electrolytic caps in the radios.

then you can go here:
https://www.tubesandmore.com/

and buy the caps you need.
obviously there are other places to buy them from, but this place should have most if not all the ones you need.

I had ordered a recap kit for a Cobra 2000 from Mike . But I wasn't sure if he had them for the older radios too ... now I know that he doesn't .

I already have the #12 issue of SAMS Photofact service manual ... and I have an account at Antique Electronic Supply .

What is in #45 that I'm going to need ?

Oh ok .... I thought it had something to do with the Lafayette ... lol . I have the SAMS Photofact service manual for my Kris as well .

Thanks for the info guys ... I was hoping that there might be someone like Klondike Mike that sold the kits already put together. I guess I better dig those manuals out and get reading .
