Reclaim LSB 16

Bad splatter from 17 AM a bit earlier, but now 16 is nice and quiet in Grampa's shack. I haven't heard a peep from SSB yet.

Good luck WWDX members
390, I believe I just made contact with you a few minutes ago, good hearing you on the radio...... have a great day today and God Bless!!

WDX-1863

Steve

then big ol stations on 6 is killing me today.happens often

Around 12:25 things started to pick up. I heard 226. He mentioned speaking with WDX-1863 and 36 in Ohio. I could not hear them.

I also heard 355 in Wisconsin. My efforts to get back to him were not successful.

945 in the upper peninsula of Michigan just came booming through a minute ago.

So, folks, there is some skip rolling.
I had you, briefly, 404. But the damn noise was ridiculous.

With the Workman 6 Hub Starduster my noise floor is running 2-3 S units. When I switch to my 1/4 wave ground plane, it drops to 1. Bleed-overs from AM 15 and AM 17 have been a problem at times. I'm also now starting to hear this Mexican dispatcher on AM 16 that seems to pop up every few days.

The good news is that folks have made contacts. Hopefully, there are more to come.

Is your 1/4w GP dc grounded?

Perhaps your Starduster is physically closer to a local noise source than the GP.
That's entirely possible. The antennas are on the west side of the house and are spaced 11 meters apart. The Starduster is closer to my neighbor's house's physical structure. The 1/4 wave is towards their back yard.

The neighbors on both sides of me recently installed fluorescent security lights which they run all night and which wipe out my ears on AM and SSB from 6:00P.M. on. Got to make the day light hours count 'cause come 6:00P.M. Van Morrison's "Here Comes the Night" gets a whole new meaning around here.

The 6HUB Duster gets out though.... Tell the neighbors to move back to Canada ;)

Just worked 4077 Hollywood CA and a dude with no numbers on a wire in Alberta..
Oh nice!!! I've made a few contacts on 16. Had a few good QSO's with @Rick330man, and several other forum members. Dx is fun, and even better when you make contact with people you know and respect.
