Reclaim LSB 16

My wife and I spent a great Sunday together, so I wasn't on much yesterday, March 12th. However, three contacts were made and I was really glad to discover that there is Lake Eerie SSB Radio Club on the Ohio edge of Lake Eerie that runs a net on LSB 16 Sunday mornings at 10:00A.M. eastern - two (2) hours before we start ours. (See post 904 above) My contact was made around 10:35A.M. I'm going to make it a point to turn LSB 16 on a little earlier the next few week-ends to see if QSOs can be had with some of their members.

And besides the two contacts mentioned before, I also managed to connect with 33 in Chicago around 1:10 eastern time. Both of us were tested by AM 15 bleed-over, but we got enough info out be able to identify each other.

Let's see what next week-end has in the cards for us.

MARCH 18 - 19, 2023 LSB 16 NET: With A New Sunday Twist

We will run our net Saturday, March 18th on the usual schedule. The start time will be our customary noon eastern/9:00A.M. pacific with every subsequent hour on the hour as coordinated times for hailing.

On Sunday, we'll try something different. Let's start at 10:00A.M. eastern to coordinate our start time with the Lake Eerie SSB Radio Club's net. They operate Sundays from 10:00A.M. eastern to 11:00A.M. I spoke to Lenny, their net controller yesterday on LSB 16. You can actually hear our conversation on his Facebook page from about the 30:00 minute to the 37:00 minute mark. He's interested in seeing if our two groups can link up. Let's find out next Sunday.

Do your part to make 16 LSB great again!

Looks like predictions for today call for only "FAIR" propagation in the 12-10 meter range. At the same time, however, we've got some interesting weather systems that could impact skip.

Our net starts in just over 6 hours at noon eastern. Catch you there.
