Recommendations for Best Mic on Ranger 2970N2

I have a couple of the 1st CDL56 mics , the look a like for the RK56 mics and they seem to work just fine. they have just a little more audio than the RK56 mics I have. I have never tried one of the workman RK56 look a like mics as of yet since I have so many of the old RK56 mics. all I have ever had to do to the old ones is put a new switch in them if it went bad. I have about a dozen of the new switches to replace them if I can not clean the old ones up.
I use to change a lot of the switches out for truck drivers since they used the mic a lot back years ago and it swinging around in the cab it would get damaged. truck drivers would get rather rough with the mics for some reason.

So which mike got the nod?

(Are you still aging that radio on the shelf? “Bottled in bond”?)
RK56. Yes, radio still in box. Got a Powermax 100amp to run it....um ....it's still in a box too! Have not been able to get the system set up yet.

I got this thing about turner mics, almost all my 11 meter radios have turner mics.
Damm judy turner was a hot chic in high school
I can just imagine you, standing there in your button down shirt, penny loafers, and monogram sweater.....holding that Turner microphone and twirling the coiled cord thinking of Judy......

I always ran the Ranger brand radios both base and mobile.Had the best luck with the Astatic 575-m6 mic.

She is now 61,shows few lines n wrinkles but age didnt hurt her. But now you know

Came across a picture of a girl I’d admired in high school. Pretty then, and nice now . . . but I wouldn’t have recognized her. (60-ish)

With a few it’s been the voice that was the save. The combination of looks & voice.

Keep those contact switches clean, boys.

(Am I the only one feels greater affection for the ones I also knew in elementary school?).
