I recently purchased a Uniden Grant XL off Ebay and I would like to get the radio aligned and tuned and maybe have a channel mod done. I can't find anyone locally to do the work so i was hoping someone could recommend a skilled tech that does work via shipping.

If you do a search you'll find many threads on this topic and more opinions that you could ever hope for. Mostly because so called "CB Tech" are rarely that. But there are some guys on the forum who are probably better than most. 
Before you give your money away to someone use the radio for a month and decide if it even needs an alignment or if you need the extra channels. Then decide if you want to do the channel mod yourself. No reason to get an alignment done if it doesn't need it.
Click on the "search forums" at the top of the page. Title your search just like you did this thread. Suggested radio shops, quality radio techs, recommended cb shops, any of those will hit on some of the old threads about this. You will get a wide variety of suggestions, in the end you will just have to decide.
Congrats to Mikes Radio Repair for his being endorsed by President as a warranty center.
I have watched Mike's videos and he seems very straight forward guy and not full of himself.
Mike knows his stuff. I'll vouch for him.

I can second that. I talk with him weekly. Very busy guy. But if I did cb repair full time I would be busy also. Just no time. Too many old vintage ham radios and test gear to keep alive.
Calibrating that old test gear must cost a fortune. That would be a good business to get into.
