Is that the interior of the General Lee? (Dodge Charger?)
That's basically the definition of the Good ole days. I like CB for the same reasons plus you know it's reliable when you do a proper installation without cutting corners!Wow,, flashbacks.. I remember the Ford adds and the Saturday Night Live (when it was funny) imitations "the ride on this new Ford is so smooth we will circumcise this baby in the back seat"... CBs, Flaming chickens on Firebirds, Carburetors long hair and bad gas mileage. With no internet or cell phones, CBs ruled. As I have gotten back into CBs its the lack of the Cell phone simplicity that appeals to me. Studying antennas, location, older used Radio restoration and possibly Amps... All very fun. CB radios feel alive to me with meters moving and constant adjustments of gain and squelch... I need more kit.
I have all the episodes of The A-Team on vhs tapes and the Dukes of Hazard on dvd's. CB ruled all the best shows! You all remember when The A-Team could talk across a state with a 2 foot loaded CB antenna. If I remember correctly BA's van had a General Electric CB in it. "Red Ball One, the bag is leaking."
