Repeater Offset?

repeater frequencies and tones

I find this site to be of great value for me when programming my KGV-UD1:

Amateur Radio Repeater database - Updated daily

Copy it into the URL box if the link isn't there only the URL and take a look. It is usually very current and I've only found a couple times it was a little off. One is a local linked repeater set that uses three different PL tones to open the repeater you might be closest too, even though they all use the same in and out frquencies. I don't entirely understand that but it works.

I have also entered into my programs some "line of sight" single frequencies for use with my own mobile, base and H/T and for friends to hit me if they see me drive by or are in my neighborhood. (Works sort of like CB - ugh!)

New question. I go out to Parker, az a lot in the summer, and have seen online that there is a repeater on 146.850 with a PL of 162.2. However, when I key it up I get nothing. Does anyone know if there is a repeater out there and if it is working?
