IMHO, Yes it will cost less than $200. Probably closer to $100 (more or less) for a full re-cap and re-alignment. (but i'm not sure)
I much prefer a classic radio over the modern ones, they just don't build 'em like they used to, anymore..
Yeah, the good ones stay busy, you may find someone "on the ground" (not online) who does not accept mail-ins, they would probably have a smaller work load, & shorter line of customers. (faster turn-around time)That's great news! I thought it'd be a lot more.
Once I acquire the radio I want, the hard part begins. Finding a competent, trustworthy tech who doesn't have a long waiting list and can get right to it.
