Right to carry past till now?

The truly evil ones are those who try to take away our gun "rights" piece by piece. It may take a few generations but the brain washing still goes on in our media, movies, shows. It takes watch dogs like the NRA to expose those who use ulterior motives to disarm America, namely, the president and his crowd of socialists. I tell you, people need to get out and instill into youth what this nation was founded on. Parades, etc.
"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"

-- Thomas Jefferson, 1 Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

On Charlotte,NC there are billboards disputing wild African animals that that bubble talk and have sayings like "I'm not a fur rug". To me,this is an anti-gun campaign designed to influence the youth to be even more opposed to even owning a gun.
Welcome to Flickr!
To date,North Carolina doesn't have any African wild animals roaming free. Go figure.
Just remember that even if it looks cute it may be an attempt to take away your gun RIGHTS.

I can see how it's anti-gun propaganda cleverly disguised as saving endangered species. WWF has a cause to fight for, but what am I to do to save polar bears or Nepalese tigers? Send them money? My guns, most all U.S. guns for that matter, have no play on these creatures. Now if I had a free opportunity to drop some African big game with my rifles...

Sounds like someone is paranoid. What you need to do is find out who erected those signs. You say people that want to steal your guns and I suggest maybe some so called animal rights people. I hardley doubt the anti-sealing pictures I see are aimed at banning clubs.

I worked in Charlotte last week and saw several of these signs on major highways. I know the power of suggestion. I tend to rather nip things in the bud. Maybe very alert but not paranoid. One thing can lead to another. Parents should be the ones teaching their kids and not the system

Still sounds paranoid to me. Lot's of ads on TV or signs going back years and years and years about this. Most were either about animal rights or educating people about the illegal trade in exotic animal parts. Sure N.C. has no African animals roaming arount (DUHHH) however the illeg poaching of rhino horns, cheetah and zebra hides, gorilla hands, elephant tusks etc is a concern for everyone. The WWF has had such ads for decades and they do not promote stealing your guns.

It makes it more personal. Imagine a little lion cub lamenting over the loss of his mother. Much more impact than a simple picture and a line below it. What about all the TV commercials with talking animals?
