ROHN 25 setup help/tips??

Do it right - use a bearing at the top.
For get the T.V. rotor.

Here is a picture of my tower now - I will be taking it down this summer and drop the rotor down some more.
It's a CDE45, been turning the 5 element since 2000.

THE TOWER LOOKS LIKE IT IS RUSTING - BUT IT'S JUST THE PAINT COLOR THAT MAKES IT LOOK THAT WAY.

View attachment 27515 I made a hazer for my Rohn 25 I bought a Yaesu rotor thrust bearing and my 100.00 rotor has worked for almost 2 years. A bearing is well worth the price paid to save a rotor. I have a 4 element Maco flat side and an IMAX on top. Works great.in case your wondering the hazer rides up and down the tower with a winch and cable.
Nice looking work, is that aluminum or stainless? Thinking about making one myself.

... edit...

You may have a CDE control box, but there is no such thing as a CDE 45 rotor. there is a CD 45 II rotor, but that definitely is not one.

Without seeing the numbers on the bottom of the rotor, it is hard to positively ID it.
All the Ham 2's, 3's, M's, 4's, and IV's share a common bell housing with a common brake housing, which adds about 3 inches below the rotor housing joint and uses 4 thru bolts..
The TX2 series has 6 thru bolts.
