Since everyone knows, do to part swappers and other scams on eBay, it’s too risky to make transactions on eBay amymore for radio related products sales there. So if doing the same on this site what is the best method to make transactions so everyone stays safe buying, selling and trading on this site? Seems even the use of PayPal one is still at risk from someone who wants to gig ya. Any suggestions?

I had to close my pay pal account and abandon my ebay account because of their "Money back guarantee". Even if you sell a product as "NOT WORKING - FOR PARTS ONLY" the buyer can return it for a refund. I've been hosed out of $526.00 and got back about 1/2 of my unit. Trying to find a safe place to trade? I have no idea anymore. Either face to face, or hopefully find someone who has been a member of the site for a very long time.

I still do businesses on ebunk. More buying than selling anymore mainly due to their buyer protection program.
Paypal is a decent way to cover your ass. I havent been here long but have done some business here with no problems. Some was repairs and refurbishing with members i knew from other sites and some purchases from random folks here. Ive done some buying on KSL classifieds with good luck also.
Get lots of pics and vids of the item working. Make sure sellers put the proper amount of insurance on the item being shipped. If they refuse to be open walk away.

Buying used stuff is always a gamble. Horse trading has been going on for years. If it seems too good to be true it probably is. If something doesn't seem right it probably isn't. The safest bet is buying new equipment with a warranty. No risk, no reward.

I think if you hang around here enough you'll find the folks here are gents with integrity. So as in my experience anyways.I wouldn't hesitate to buy as I've even mailed a check on one occasion and the selling member sent the goods the same day. I've only bought here but if selling I'd have no reservations selling to any of the well known members here. Just my opinion if it matters.

As for buying I feel pretty safe on eBay, its the selling thing thats a crap shoot. I only sell quality taken care of stuff, and I don't care to receive back a box of rocks and a charge back from eBay. Its sad in the past I sold some really nice radio stuff and it was not an issue.

Not to gyp anybody is why im very unhappy with yaesu.the radio i keep sending back, the dsp board was loose, burned contac pins.it just keeps doing wierd things, send it back n works just fine so THEY CLAIM. If they would replace or repair it then id sell it or trade it.but as it is now im out the money and own a pos traveling radio.
I used to truck to california every week.this junk radio is gonna pass me on trips west till its fixed or i throw it in junk.
After this hiatis,i will no longer buy another yaesu product. Machine is only as good as the service you recive when needed

Rwb you reminded me of a problem I was having with a Nissan dealer. My daughter's Nissan was making a very slight ticking noise, so slight that you could barely hear it but Nissan kept saying they couldn't find anything wrong ( car was still under warranty) so I took it to my buddy he was a mechanic for Dodge that now has his own shop, and he gave me a list of three possible problems and told me to take it back to Nissan. So trip #3 to the dealership I walk in hand them the list and tell them my buddy isn't a certified Nissan mechanic but he is a certified Dodge mechanic and he says you need to check these three things out, low and behold problem solved.
Now as far as this forum goes I suggest get acquainted with some of the members on here before you buy or sell. You can also read posts of other members where they have had dealings with other members on here, and if you hang around here enough you'll see where members try and give helpful advice to one another that goes further than just radio related problems. my own personal dealings with members on here, I wouldn't have any problem dealing with with anyone I've interacted with on this forum. Loosecannon just finished up restoring my radio and I wouldn't hesitate to send another one to him, I've actually met HomerBB and wouldn't hesitate to buy sell or trade with him, both are straight up honest men. So I suggest hang around here interact with the members and you should be fine. I'm kind of a loner ( by choice) I have a couple of friends here where I live but what I think is funny even though I haven't personally met most of the members I've interacted with on here, I consider them my friends.
