SBE LAND COMMAND MODEL LCBS-8 AM/SSB BASE

The SBE LCBS-8 Land Command is not listed anywhere as being a Cybernet 02A unit. The LCBS-4 is a Cybernet 02A chassis but according to the PLL sites below, the LCBS-8 is a single conversion MB8719 Uniden chassis. Another words a Uniden Washington, Cobra 148GTL, Realistic TRC-490.......
You could be correct, I pulled up the info I have access to
Here is what I have
The LCBS-4 is a PLL O2A
The LCM-8 is a PLL O3A
The LCMS-8 is a MB8719
The LCB-8 is a UPD 2816-C
I have no schematic for the LCBS-8 and I had it in my head that the PLL was an O2A.
If you follow the progression of the models, it very well could be.
I stand corrected, until some one can produce a schematic or possibly a picture of the board.
thank you for posting up.

I must be a very lucky guy, have a LCS-4/SSB, LCB-8 w/o SSB or right time/right place!!! Have a Audio King for the 4, have not decided what type of antenns for the 8.
leaning towards A99, Imax 2000, cushcraft AR-10, Starduster or Sirio TORNADO. My Fav is Astro Plane ALPHA Base Antennasbelcms4.jpg sbe lcm 8.jpg

I have a LCBS-8, looks nice radio, PLL8719, same board as washington, i also have 2 LCMS-4 radios PLL is 3001 chip, one is a parts donor rig, they all run nicely

People pay big bucks for these radios and all they are is a Uniden Madison, Cobra 2000 inside. Nothing to get excited over..........
And yet people today in 2019 pay stupedously huge money for Cobra 2000's all the time and 3x as much if it comes from Canada! Plus insane shipping again only from Canada! I think the last one I laughed at on the e-auction sight of fame was $699 to $799 and it also had shipping over a $100 I think it was something like $119 shipping. LOL....

I realize fiat currency has no intrinsic value and can be created at will but most people actual think it is of value and work hard for it all the same so it does has some value just not as much as the average person thinks it has. Since they do not give it away though to the average person it still represents a mans labor so you would think people would place some value on it but not if e-auction sights are the measure though! LOL

Maybe the real fool is the person sealing the radio in exchange for fiat currency? Hard to say at this point who is the greater fool? Time will tell!

Can't remember what it was, but I shipped some ham related stuff to a guy in Canada. It was outrageous shipping. My ad stated CONUS, but he pleaded with me to ship it. Said he was using it for something Scout related.

I did my part and shipped it out quickly, but it took forever to get there. My local postmaster told me it can sometimes take a long time. Guy started to think I ripped him off. He told me his relative was a detective in the States and would have him investigate me. He finally started threatening me and called me a thief. He blasted me really bad. I finally said screw it, and refunded his money after 3 weeks. Wasn't very long after, but he finally got it.

Take a good amount of convincing to get me to do it again. I see no real reason why shipping back and forth is so idiotic.
