Sirio Gainmaster Wind Test

My GM has survived a few high wind events. Not sure, but I think it's close to 5-6 years old.
mine is around 4-5yrs old mounted up in a pine tree 43' to the feedpoint with branches hitting it every time the wind blows and its still going strong
Actually, this is already a very old topic. The company Sirio is rightly criticized again and again, because it declares this model as a station antenna and that is unfortunately not correct. In fact, it is a mobile antenna, which is only to operate when parking. There are now massively broken antennas, so that their owners call them, among other things, "GayMaster".
So if you really want to operate a Sirio antenna stationary, then I can only recommend the Sirio New Tornado! This antenna lives up to its name and is pre-tunable. As an investment, the GM is in comparison only an avoidable risk! (Don't wait until it breaks, use it as described.)
My Gain-Master has been up for over 4 years and is most certainly a [base] station antenna.
Due to the fact that I cannot use an antenna with radials due to lot restrictions, it is one of the few base station antennas that I can use. It's been a good antenna and I haven't had any issues.
