I put it up myself but my pole was already up. I just lowered top section down to remove the Antron and add the sirio. For tuning swr I just set the sirio over the top of the pole to test after adjustment. Use blue loctite on all screws and set screws.

It's very simple to build. Just got to get swr set right with the top section. I had the Antron 99 and the TX and RX is better with the sirio. Get your measurements all correct and all the same for the 4 radials.

I used the hardware that came with it. Screwed right in the predrilled holes. I used loctite and snugged them up real good.

I'd say enough to notice a difference. Not near as much noise either.

Just got this antenna. The instructions are hard to understand. How do you measure it for 11 meters?

Undertaker did you ever get your antenna up and tuned for 11meter?

Undertaker, you measure the top whip, (stinger), to the desired set freq as in the sirio manual. The top whip should be measured as shown in the illustration in the manual. You want approx. 1030mm or 40.55" for center of the CB band or near it. Either that or use the length got 27.185 Ch19 @ 1060mm or 41.73" and go from there. May take some fine tuning, but there numbers should get you close.

short base mounting element. to bottom of hub.. 9 7/8 ths. will get more info asap going to take my CHL class today!!

What I'd like to know is the length of just the radiator from tip of coil to top of radiator. Looks to be about 6"-8" of radiator & insulator up inside the coil, plus the 20" of base & hub should leave about 22'...?

Bobby just to be clear, here are images of the two dimensions I need the lengths of your Tornado 27. The second image (#0001.PDF) you can increase the size if needed.
