Shoot you guys are lucky. I am at 10ft elevation. Glad I have the ocean kind of close. Im about 2-3 miles from the beach.

Is anybody getting anything substantial on 11m? I made a couple contacts into Idaho last week from central Alberta but otherwise haven't made any other connections in over 12 months. According to the following NASA map, things look pretty bleak;

I was testing a radio and forgot I had it switched to the antenna instead of the dummy load and I got someone from DX pop right in and respond back to me.

~Cheers~

There is still DX out there. It's just that a lot of people truly think the band is completely dead and when they turn the radio on most just listen instead of trying to make a contact or at least talk to someone in DX land. I have turned on the radio several times and heard dead silence. Key up and say "Hello" and have 10 people trying to get back to me LOL. I suppose it's a matter of right place right time. I don't think it's luck? At any rate, yes most of the DX is gone, but surprisingly there is still some DX left on 11m. I did say some so don't flame me fellas. I haven't been talking but just listening, but I do still hear stuff almost daily. Anyways. Hopefully most have some locals to speak with, or the other option is to get your ticket!! What my eventual plans are. To all, have fun DX'ing.

Heard lots of traffic this morning on 38LSB, talked to a dude in Kentucky just to see if my radio still worked. Been on 27.185 AM mostly since it's been quieter.
