Something new on this solar cycle!

I guess I should break out (if I can find it) my old Ramsey 6mtr kit I built back in 1997 or there abouts. I had lot of FM contacts along the east coast from Florida. I also have a FEW Midland high split low band units. Three are programed and tuned up to some 6mtr freqs. OH dang don't have a base antenna. All I have is a new ASP 4050 thru glass 6 meter I can install in my truck. got to get to work on that.
I'll start next week listening on 6 Meter if I get antenna up. The magic band is fun.
I bought a midland 6 meter on ebay but it squealed badly on TX. I found all of the shields were missing. I robbed the shields from one of my unprogrammed units. I then had to complete alignment now no squealing into dummy load.
Wish I could get back my commercial DB folded ground plane antenna.
