in my opinion if you don't like a shops work.
go to another shop. why sit there and bash a shop. ever think people ask al to remove the limiter. my dealings with sparky have been great. i asked that the limiter stays intact he did just that. so instead of bashing sparky s get a life and a new tech.
If you were familiar with Sparky's 'tunes' you'd know that leaving the limiter intact is part of the grand illusion that his radios are 'clean'. He doesn't take the time to desolder and remove them. Instead, he flips the radio over and cuts the trace to it with a razor knife. It's much quicker but has the same end result. I've seen several radios that came off his bench and every one of them had the limiter disabled in that manner. No, I'm not 'bashing' Al...just telling it like it is.
