As far as I am concerned he doesn't deserve to have that truck. The title says "Ford Raptor jumps 90 feet!" and it should have said "Dumb fuck nearly totals truck and himself by being stupid". First off I wouldn't be that stupid and secondly I can only imagine if I did try that with my Tundra Crew Max. I would have to just die in a bad wreck because the wife would kill me if I didn't.
Speaking of that, a few years ago we were laying in bed just about asleep when we heard the roar of big engine being being pushed hard followed by a screeching of tires and then a BANG followed by lots of snapping and cracking and then silence. Dead silence. It was then the wife said to me "WTF was that!?" I calmly said "Well if I had to guess I would say some dumb ass was going waaay too fast and missed the turn and left the road" at which point I sprang out of bed to go investigate. The driver was evidently alright by the screams of FUCK!!! FUUUCCCKKK!!!! I looked out the bedroom window and saw lights shining through the trees across the road. Just as you go past my house the road makes a broad sweeping 90 degree turn which is well marked with signs and lines up with a one lane bridge across the river. The turn is banked slightly the proper way however over the edge of the road there is about a six foot drop and then woods along the front of the neighbors. The following morning we were awakened by the sound of chain saws and a tractor. They cut the trees out down into the neighbor's yard and hauled the truck up out of his driveway. The trees were all in the three to six inch size range. Just enough to cause damage without coming to a complete stop against one especially at that speed. It was a brand new Dodge Ram 4x4 extended cab with the temporary permit still in the window.
The idiot was smoking out the road about 1:00am and was either drunk or didn't pay attention to the signs or God knows what but besides the front being smashed and the suspension wrecked, airbags deployed, etc the only body panel on that entire truck that was not dented or scrapped bad was the roof. It was torn up pretty good from front fender to rear quarter panel on both sides as well as the front end. I wonder what he paid for insurance the next five years or so. :tongue:
The thing I found hilarious about this video is that the idiotic driver took the time to activate his hazard lights after wrecking the truck -- as if he needed to alert approaching "traffic" about some problem up ahead, lol. :laugh:
