you have to put the radio into set-factory mode, then you can do the button procedure that is in the first post here,, you need the set-factory software/program to do this, ill see if I can find it on my pc yet,, my 955 has been long gone and so happy to see it leave!!

where are you guys buying these strykers at????seems to me that either you get a great one
orone thats just average.mostly in recieve. maybe thereciever section in these dont liked
to be tuned ,or just done wrong .i too have been considering this radio.so post back
where u bought it and how u like it mostly the reciever section

I agree. The radio is awesome. I'm running a 955 with a sweet 16 and a penetrator 10 k antenna on my truck. I can talk to where I get relayed nags people trying to get me. It really puts out and receives great. Talking to south London England from central pa the other day. Longest contact so far. Get hold of Shawn at Stryker. He is awesome. Will resolve any issue you have. And talk to you about any concerns. He didn't even charge me for a new voltage req. good luck. Triple 5. 73d

Why dont you test Shawn's awesomeness should you require something his 2 penny an hour factory worker messed up on. I can assure you he wont be that awesome when it comes to having to stick his hands in his shallow pockets to fix an issue his firm created from the get go, AKA warranty. The gentleman left me high and dry on flagship radio.

My 955 blows smoke and always gets great reports. I rotate on base with my N2 but I would rather look at the Stryker. I have the 497hpc in a mobile and love that one too.

I often wonder if these radios are screwed up from the factory, or have they been hacked up with the golden screwdriver. Mikes Radio Repair says guys are destroying the traces and other SMD in these radios trying to golden screwdriver them.

I'm sure there are guys that scab through hole parts on the smd traces. I think they work great right out of the box. It never hurts to check the alignment though. My 2 cents.
