Super Scanner?

I've been suppressing a very evil idea to build one for 20 meters, without the omni option. I probabaly won't since if I deal with something that has full size vertical elements for 20 meters I'd want more gain, but I do have all the stuff I need except for the relays...

My understanding of this antenna from looking at Avanit's schematic of the controller unit is there is no phasing involved, only shorting the coax feeders to whichever two elements are not being driven at the time to load them and make them reflectors. Very interesting idea, similar to the K1WA sloper array.

It is old american tower. I know because I got some 30ft of it with my maco v 5/8 on it.

It was very popular in the 50s and 60s for tv antennas.

Thanks airplane I know Ive seen that type of tower before just didnt know who made it (It is very different than R20 / 25 and quite different than Universal aswell

Yea and it ia not interchangeble either. It is a bit smaller of a triangle but it is strong. we got some around here 45 ft free standing still after years and years and all rusted. they do seem to rust easyer than rohn. I got mine free for taking it down for the folks and it was 48 ft free standing.

I did see two 40 ft rohn 25 towers in my area with cut wires hanging from the tv antenna and the houses have a dish on the roof. I think I can get them both for a few bucks or even free.
