Superstar 360?

Hi,
A friend of mine has a Superstar 360 and he wants to buy a Galaxy FC-390 frequency counter that plugs into the back of the Superstar via a freq. jack. My question is does this frequency counter plugged into the jack on the back of the radio work on receive and transmit? Will it work on SSB without dancing all over the place. I heard it will work, But I need verification. Please let me know.

it will dance all over on ssb. and it only tells you what freq you are on...

I would figure it would dance all over when It modulates, But will it stay still and show the receive frequency when unkeyed on SSB or will it 000000mHz? Please let me know.

it will stay still as long as the radio does not drift on ssb.
