It has RT1 transistors so the operator can have bragging rights. They should have given it the noise reduction feature at least....So is this just the 447 in a different dress with a bit more power, or something different and worthwhile?
50 years old Royce? You’ll never find a radio today that had the quality parts as the Royce did.I’ll be laughed at, but I like it. I spotted it the other day at Walcott Radio. I like the size, the look, the meter, and the 80 watts. Not a lot of bells and whistles, and I don’t care for SSB so it might be a good radio for me as a replacement for my 50-year-old Royce and KL203.
