Exactly what I thought. Back to their same scheme but we already know what the quality control looks like.
So they couldn't beat em so instead copy em!
It's funny in a sense that they bought an anytone to clone it. That's dirty!
It has RT1 transistors so the operator can have bragging rights.
They should have given it the noise reduction feature at least....
Ranger has about 40 years of clone experience, starting with the Uniden export boards.
I doubt Q is making the heat sinks and cases for the radio they build, I bet that Ranger is buying the case and heatsink from the same supplier and putting a new clone board in it.
I agree with ST, why not add NRC ?

50 years old Royce? You’ll never find a radio today that had the quality parts as the Royce did.I’ll be laughed at, but I like it. I spotted it the other day at Walcott Radio. I like the size, the look, the meter, and the 80 watts. Not a lot of bells and whistles, and I don’t care for SSB so it might be a good radio for me as a replacement for my 50-year-old Royce and KL203.
