Where does everyone buy there electronic small parts these days? I'm talking about resistors, capacitors, relays, etc. I need to replace some caps: NessCap 2.7 volt 10F and can't find any. Will also need some other stuff for another project.

Where are you shopping?

Thanks,
Bob KC1CW

Hi,

1. Tayda Electronics (taydaelectronics.com) - For diodes, caps, resistors, switches and transistors. They're based in Thailand but all my orders get shipped from Massachusetts to Puerto Rico and arrive in 4-5 days and the quality is very good. Minimun order is $5 and the shipping is cheap.

2. Jameco (Jameco.com) - very good stuff.

3. Mouser (mouser.com) - The big one.

4. Thai shop etc (Ebay seller) - very good quality.

Thanks for the info, I have now ordered the cap I need for my WX station. Not sure if this will fix the problem, there is some corrosion on the board in other places but worth a try before I shell out $150 for a new PCB.

This is my second major problem with this Davis Advantage Pro. Last time I was told it corroded because I was so close to the ocean. I asked where in the sales pitch did it say "reduced longevity near salt water?"

LOL

Thanks again.
