I would like to optimize this nice meter for 6m usage, plus also add a PEP switch.
Any thoughts CK/DB/ Warren or others?

A plus would be to maintain HF capabilities, but not critical.

PS: "Slightly reduced accuracy" does not seem to apply....reads about 50% of my DIAWA 801HP3 on key down or CW
Thanks in advance to ALL

I suspect the issue is with the torroid pick-up and it's frequency range. The rest of the meter is essentially DC after the RF is rectified so no issue there. I would suggest installing a second ferrite core of #68 material preferably or #67 if #68 is not available. Install a DPDT switch to switch between the HF torroid and the 50MHz torroid. Label the switch HF/6m. If it were ME that is what I would try. note I said "try" No guarantees. At 6m things really start to act different than on HF. Stray wiring that is not an issue on HF becomes very problamatic on 6m. Switches for 6m need to be much higher quality as well. I suspect the torroid used in this meter is not ideal for 6m despite the notice of "slightly reduced accuracy". BTW you will have to experiment with the number of turns but start with what you think is too many and see how it compares to the HF side of things and adjust turns appropriately.
