OK you don't say whether you're using a magmount or a fixed mount so...
Magmount: its lifting off the car as you drive down the road. A larger magmount may not be the solution.
Fixed mount: I made the mistake of buying cheap ones to put my Tarheel on. I found over time that the SWR went up. Basically there is a brass bit that is press fitted into the bottom of the socket to provide connection to the pin and over time it loosens from the pressure the Tarheel was putting on it due to wind resistance as I drove down the road. Solution is to buy a proper decent fitting.
Breedlove mounts are your answer. They're not cheap but they're bombproof.
I am running mag mount at the time. The top heavy/loaded Wilson weighs to much for this mag. The predator works great with the same mount. I thought I could put the Wilson up against the roof rack for support. It did keep the sporadic swrs from surfacing, but still had 2.0. Oh well...
