Talked to another guy dxing he was on an mk3 very stable good sounding unit for only 50 watts i must say im impressed thats 2 different ones ive talked to now (both in california) and they sounded superb im very impressed
does he go on about a rolltop desk and all the radios he has in it?Henry by chance?? something like 251 or 257??
no i havent bought one yet i spent my radio allowance on a new ts 667v for my 148f man it works good now too, the new hybrid 667s are a bit different you dont leave a lead on the varible pot open like the old onesHave you bought one yet??
i dont know, i think id rather get it from yeticom with the warranty and all thatwhere can get the mk3 now other than yetticom
yes on ssb they sound superb and more powerful than 50 watts for sureThere are some being sold on eBay but I have to agree, If I were to get one now it would be from Yeticomm as well. I was lucky enough to get one from a forum member for a good price. I think I paid $265 Shipped. Not bad for what it is. And with some luck I was able to find a real icom hm-36 mic for about 25 shipped. Worked out great. I still am using it in my work van as a mobile, been over 1.5yrs now of some rough abuse and the radio stil kicks butt!!
