Not just mine. The Swans and Siltronix radios did not do very well on AM and they were very prone to drifting. Simply being made in the USA didn't solve that problem.

Keep in mind, with the 6kHz AM filter that FT-101 / Tempo One series of rigs has some of the best quality audio out there, especially with the right mic!!

i had forgot about this thread . i got the radio but it has something inside moving/bumping around and im sure in the process os shipping that something got broke . i havnt pluged it in cause im afraid of what will happen . LOL .

She's a sick bird but might warrant some chicken soup

I imagine it was shipped with the tubes in their sockets and probably not surrounded with bubble wrap so acquiring a new driver and set of finals may be a good idea at this juncture...

- Check to see if has the 6kc AM filter, that alone is worth $100+

still cookin

Still workin the old 1011C as main unit a year later...even with low dx activity this is a nice receiver for ground wave even blows the 858 uniden TRC-457 out of the water as long as static is low
Only thing the Silly needs to make it a hall of famer is a noise blanker
Still lovin my tubes to death
Cheers and beers
