The New AT-6666?

If it uses IRF or ERF transistors as the finals, try to keep as much distance between it and your wallet as possible.

Anytone aka Qixiang Electron Science & Technology has built CBs and commercial / amateur tranceivers fo quite some time now. I have the AT-5555, the AT-288 HT and the AT-588 mobile, the last two are two meters transceivers. The build quality on the two meter rigs are great, almost like the Yaesu tranceivers! Far better than the Beofengs for the HT. *Don`t do it*
If the new AT-6666 is like these, then there will be a solid built radio fo 10 / 11 meters. I an in contact with a rep from Qixang but no answer on this new rig yet. I guess it will be a waiting game....

I hope it isn't to close in board design as the 5555. It has some issues that need addressed.

Radio has a new board, more shielded and also memory channels so I am told by someone who spoke with the factory. Samples will be sent in April / May and then when orders received a line will begin making them. I expect a sample in May when the man with it returns from China. But ALL NEW I am told.

(Crossing fingers) OK. Continuous tuning, like the Optima. Minimum 100 Hz increments. Repeater splits/offsets. 24. - 30 MHz. Please? Pretty please? Huh, huh? Ple-e-e-ase???? (We need a praying emoticon! :D )
(From the look of the front panel, I'm assuming menus?)

End of April, start of May the first samples should be available
If I squint at it, reminds me a tad like the Magnum 257.... If it is built like the VHF / UHF rigs then it will be more solid. I did get an answer from my contact at Qixiang and it is the same as every one else has been hearing. :bdh:

AT608M sold as Stabo XM4006e without front end programming but can be done. Cut the wire and move the jumper and VFO Mode enabled 25610-30110 AM and FM

Avanti Primo 4w AM/FM
Avanti Primo FM 20w

Both the same as the AT608M.

AT6666 Last news from Monday 3am was there are more than 1 sample made. 1 has 12-11-10m and the other simple 10-11m. No current decision as it will depend on resellers wishes. Already it seems 3 companies in EU want it.
