Here in the Pacific Northwest if you spend any time out in the woods you will most likely get runover by a log truck unless you have and are using your AM radio.
Just to the north of you up here in BC logging trucks haven't used CB in a couple decades now. Everybody uses VHF LADD channels....... logging trucks, gravel trucks, semi trucks, ... all of them. 154.100 MHz is the main channel

Driving logging roads up here without a VHF radio or at least a Baofeng tuned to the correct frequency will get you run off the road fast ! Every logging road or forest service road here in BC has a BIG yellow sign at the start of it with the correct frequency to tune to for that road. It's a very good and simple system and nobody has to listen to Mud Duck or any of the other crap on AM CB.

AM CB is very dead in BC, but there's still lots of sideband use up here.
