This cb price gouging has got to stop

I wish eBay would get away from being flooded with cheap Chinese junk (like Amazon has become) so it would be easier to find quality stuff.
be nice if they kept scrap junk parts seperate from working radios.start browsing here is a case, diodes connecters etc etc.if i want to view parts id typed in parts in search bar

Blame the boomers and their sentimental bullshit thinking stuff they had as a kid or teen is worth big bucks......
Yeah it’s pretty stupid. I’ve messaged people on eBay asking questions like, so does it work. And they get offended. I will never buy another radio from eBay. I’ve had better luck with shopgoodwill.com until the virus hit, now there’s not much on there. The prices get to high sometimes, but it wasn’t as bad as eBay most of the time.
A lot of sellers are ego centric assholes hence the high prices and rude replies to questions.

Absolutely. Most of the more stable working units are selling from $350 up that have been modified, unmodified then modified again several more times and maybe blown up once or twice and the face has so many holes drilled it looks like it was shot with 12 gauge #6 shot lol.
I know some sellers are snotty like that but not me. Ill answer any questions I can and click pics all day long.
After all is said and done ill gross $700 from the sale, about the trade value I had in it. $925 - $150 ebay/paypal fees - $70 shipping.
I own a late model philly 2k that I won't sell for less than 500.00.

If i send questions about an item for sale, get shitty responce i kinda respond with HELL TAKE THAT POS BACK TO THE DUMP WHERE YOU FOUND IT AND have fun peddlin it n good day

And while we are ranting, another burn thing. Some guy buys up a shitpoke full o buiness band radios, yanks power cords n mics n sells them as working ham radios. Unknowing buyers get stung.had a friend buy 1,just got his license. Didnt know he bought a buisness band radio that cost 5x the price to change it to use as a ham radio. I helped him get his $$$ back from seller. I then gave him a working 2 meter radio with the understanding its on loan. He did buy a good dual band kenwood, gave me my radio back.
They should be made to post if buisness band in header and QUIT YANKIN MICS N POWER CORDS

You can look at this way,
A fool and his money will soon part.
Buyer beware.
If you don't like the price, move on.

I personally don't like buying stuff online that you have to trust the person is telling you.
I like to see & touch the item.
If we all stop wanting to buy this over priced shit then maybe the price will come down.
That goes for the new shit also.
I think we live on a very very over priced world.

Stay safe everyone.
