After almost a year I'm finally motivated to move forward with my tower install. Below is a photo montage of the steps in the process.

Time for the hole digging.

Had the concrete delivered and placed right next to the hole.

Tower has been planted thanks to the help of a few friends! The plan is to use a 4 element beam with a GP on top. I'll post updates as time goes on.

About nine years ago when I was about 51, I dug a hole 5x5 by 5.5 feet deep..........by hand. The top three feet or so was relatively easy going then............I hit slate. Used a pick and heavy pry bar to get down another foot or so into the soft top layers but had to rent an electric jack hammer to finish the job. I don't think I have to worry about it shifting sideways on my. LOL

I called in some Mexican handy men and two them had it dug in 45 mins. They where worried about slate and or rocks but lucky for them they found none.

The hole is 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 4 foot.
