Radio sat unused for 20+ years.
I tested it on my power supply and it worked fine the first few times.
Next time I keyed it their was no output, and it seemed like the LSB receive was a little low. The USB was fine.
On my meter there is a slight movement when I key but then there is no output.
Any suggestions on this before I open it up?
Id really hate to play around with it too much, as it is in mint condition and never been touched before.

Replace ALL the capacitors, but especially any electrolytics. Once done, you can trace any other problems. If its sat for that long, you can be absolutely certain that some of the caps have failed. There is the off chance that you can recondition some of them, but the safest thing is to replace them.

Ahhhh the memories of my D-62..........
It was 1988 and my first real mobile radio purchase I think I was 14 at the time..
Went down to radio shack and got there cheapest magnet mount antenna and mounted it on my moms 1974 chevy nova.
That radio is where I made my first skip contact on 38 LSB.
I have tried to find this radio over the years but to no avail...
Nothing ever turns up on ebay so If you ever decide to sell please please let me know............................
Thanks for reading.

You have to watch ebay fairly frequently, but at least 1 shows up per month on Ebay, sometimes several at a time.
