Looking at tripod mounted portable HF antennas. What would you recommend? Sticking with tripod mounted due to some areas of operation I will not be around any trees.
Awesome thanks for sharing! Here you’ll find my Wolf River venture. Again, several different setups. I can’t seem to leave well enough alone.

I'm digging that! Thanks! One last one. I am a big believer in the single radial system. Work’s great. (If it’s elevated off the ground.)

Totally had a brain fart and forgot about buddipole!Don't forget about the Buddipole stuff, as well. You can mix and match components with the Wolf River coil if you like that design better. The buddipole shock cord whips with adjustable tips are pretty nice.
Was going through storage yesterday and found my super antenna that is a tripod mount. Completely forgot that I had it as a spare after moving. Got to get a set of radials for it and I'll get it out and play with it.Buddiestick is indeed a good vertical. Had one.
IMHO, the Wolf River coil is quicker and easier to tune though And there is no little plastic gizmo to drop in the grass.
Lots of good options, Possum!

Will do, can only play on 10 and 11 meters for now. Currently studying for my General, but will def report on receive for now! There you go!
It’s likely on par with both the Buddiestik and Wolf River antennas. Be sure and report back.
I am really liking this antenna. Super simple to set up, and packs down very small. I am having better luck out of it than my base vertical that is 34 feet to the tip! Hardly any noise level exists when using this antenna! There you go!
