Tube cb repair

Good luck with that. Most shops only work on simple 20 min peak and tune crap, get it out the door.
And I dont consider most of those guys techs, just another golden screwdriver award holder...
Its possible someone here can suggest someone in your area of the country but it probably wont be within driving distance.

The only place I personally know off is Kilgore’s electronics in forest hill, Texas... basically Ft. worth. He is an older gentleman, That has lots of experience repairing tube type equipment. Whether or not he excepts mail in repairs I’m not sure. I guess you could call, and the worst he could say is no. Also I’m sure the shipping would cost a small fortune.

Depends on how much you like that radio lol.
Postage isnt that bad. I can send 30 pounds ftom florida to texas for under $60 2 day priority mail.
The other problems are a lot of folks either wont work on mailed tube equipment because damage can happen on the way back which the customer would blame the tech or what happens is the older tech becomes sick and can no longer conduct business and your equipment is sold in his estate never knowing who the real owner was.
Lots to consider when shipping gear to be repaired.

Ray's Electronics in Elkin, NC should be able to fix it. I would call first though.

Ray is still kicking, and he still does re-tubes and tuneups to Elkin tube amps that are still being used around here.
