If I understand your question correct.
You have a antenna that covers 10/15/20 meters and you want to use it on 40 meters with a MFJ manual antenna tuner.
The answer is Yes as long as the tuner will take the 100 watts output of your radio.
The Antenna will not be as efficient as a antenna that is properly cut for 40 meters, but it will work.

You may burn up- any traps in your antenna running it that far out of the design bands. The RF voltage will be quite high for sure. The efficiency will be abysmal as well.

I know that it will be dismal on 40, but at 100 watts Input did not think the voltage in the traps would be that bad.
You have more experience than me Capitan, I stand corrected.

I assume the (manual) tuner is placed at the transmitter end, and the antenna is fed with coax.

The antenna feedpoint impedance will be in the thousands of ohms.

The loss in the coax alone will be terrible (ladder line will help).

I didn't want to assume he was just running 100 watts nor that the antenna was rated at the standard 2 Kw pep. Some tribanders are only rated for 600 watts

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ADVICES

IT IS NOT THE EASIEST WAY BUT BUILDING AN ANTENNA FOR THE 40 METER WILL BE THE BEST WAY 73 TO ALL

Marcel: Some very nice, Interesting pictures on your website.

Hope to hear from you "In the Air" soon on 40m!!
We may have worked in a Contest. I help operate some contests from W8PR/Ohio.
Recently operated the CQWW SSB contest from there.
All the Best OM

PS: The "Lazy H" laying horizontal (W8JK) works very well. I have one up I use on 80/40/20 fed with a manual tuner and 300-ohm twin-lead @40+ feet (12m +/-).
