Turner +2 Desk Mic How Do They Sound

Excellent mics. I have 3 of them. All are wired in the 5-pin DIN configuration for use on my collection of old Realistic/Radio Shack CBs. Most of those radios were manufactured by Uniden. The Turner +2 has great, natural tone and plenty of amplification without being overbearing.

I might sell mine radio is on the floor desk mic does not work on the floor

A hand mic works in your hand and not on the floor too. What difference does it make where the radio is? Set the desk mike on a solid surface and you are good to go or do you mean you have the radio on the floor because you have nothing to set it on and hence nothing to set the mic on as well? If that is the case an orange crate will work and get the radio off the floor.

Yes I do not have a place to put it and last time I had a radio close to my computer the radio froze the computer. So now the radio is about 6ft to 7ft away from the computer and the computer has not froze yet.

Strange since the RF from the antenna is many times more than what is radiated from the radio.

Hell...My computer, radio, amp's, "Desk-Mic" printer, and computer speakers are all on the same desk, and nothing messes with the other...Even the TV is within 10' and no problems...

Just gave my brother a Robyn 123b and turner +2.
I didn't want to give him the turner but it was wired for the Robyn so I figured what the hay.
I have another +2 . I've already tried a +3 and 10-da on my Madison in order to see if I'd get better reports but reports were my silver eagle sounded much better
. The last mic I'd have to try is the second +2 I own. Mind you this is for ssb use only.
Is the fact the+2 says ssb on the key down bar mean there's something in the design of it that may be a better mic for ssb?
Either way I'm gonna give it a go. I was ju2015-06-16 09.44.20.png st wondering if the ssb markings on the turner mean that.there's somthing in the amplification or the crystal that makes it a nicer sounding mic on ssb then AM?
Oh yeah, has a nice full sound without sounding too "tinny" or too "bassy". I agree with Tba, great desk mic!

~Cheers~

I got a Turner +2 desk mic I have not used yet how does it sound is it worth keeping??

I have a great idea.....hook up the mic to your radio and listen to it.....then make your own evaluation. Everyone has their own taste and yours is the only one that matters.

And we all have different voices so a mic that sounds great for one person may sound like doodoo for someone else. Just try it and see how it sounds with your voice.

As to the question, is the +2 specially designed to sound better on ssb then AM? Thanks.
