Hell...My computer, radio, amp's, "Desk-Mic" printer, and computer speakers are all on the same desk, and nothing messes with the other...Even the TV is within 10' and no problems...
That one is actually labeled "Kicker 500", exactly the same tho as the Firebird...I've seen at least 4 different versions of it, and about the only difference in some of the other names, is some don't have the HI-LOW switch like the Kicker does. It uses 4 6JE6A-6LQ6 tubes (1x3) and with New tubes, mine would peak at little over 500w's on my Dosy... No fan, and I don't think any of these came from the factory with fans originally, so like you said, if you see one with a fan, it was added by some previous owner.I don't know why, but when i first noticed the personalization of your
d104's I emidietly thought you may have been into skateboarding. Back in the day Powell perallta, kryptonic and many co's. producing skating equipment went through these types of color schemes and us that did skate offen painted other items like sneaker, pads and in tge case of a skating buddy his Chevy.
Anyway. I noticed what appears to be a firebird 500 sitting on your desk. I've got one that's not branded firebird. I don't recall the name printed on the front of the anp or if there's any name at all. It's been sitting in a box inside a closet for about 25 years.
I've seen many up for grabs on bidonbrokenstuffbay.
All designed the same with small differances in paint scheme and switch placement but for all intense and purpose obviously came from the same factory.
Some have fans. Most fans I've seen were obviously done by the owners or golden screwdriver types. Most are done to a poor standard. Some fans look very nice and may have been factory installed.
If my memories correct the one I own doesn't have a fan.
I also don't know which tubes are used. One driving three, that i do know.
Do you use it and if so can you tell me if your happy with it's performance?. P.s. i know this is an 11 meter amplifier and although some are better made than other'. In the end it is what it is and was just wondering wheather I should dig it for possible use or add it to the list of items I'm gonna be listing for sale or trade?
Yeah, he's defiantly one of eBay's biggest Con Artists. Can't believe anything he posts, everything he has listed says it's NIB/NOS, comes from his personal collection, and came out of a display case...so "buyer beware." But he will negotiate his listed prices if you call him up...Just don't expect what you get, to be as described."superhawkwss6"
^^^that guy^^^ I see anything with yellow plexiglass under it and I can't click past it fast enough. Folks see his overpriced stuff and think they can list their stuff for the same crazy prices, but hey I understand, it's a free country.
The Tuner+2 is a great mic. I run one on my 955. I have found that no two same model mics sound the exactly same so If you don't get one that sounds good, don't give up and try another.
[/QUOTE]Oh yea! Don't forget suppejackof's been a licensed dealer or every company that's every made whatever it is he sells for over 30 years.
Unfortunately the second +2 I own isn't wired for a madison. So I willll have it wiered soon. I hope it sounds as good as the others I've hrard on ssb. If not I will try the d104 head that I Will be replacing the crystal element with one of those w2nye eletret thingies. After that I'm gonns haxe to realize my d104 and voice carecteristics is the best it's evet gonna be.'{QUOTE="jessejamesdallas, post: 524469, member: 85"]Yeah, he's defiantly one of eBay's biggest Con Artists. And we all have different voices so a mic that sounds great for one person may sound like doodoo for someone else. Just try it and see how it sounds with your voice.
Just get an 1104c and be done with it.
