Has anyone ever made a 7.5 volt battery for one of these mic's by stacking the 1.5 volt watch batteries in shrink tubing ? It looks like it could be done an I figure if it's been done someone has tried it here !I ordered some from Ebay because I can't find them here an it's been a week an they still have not been shipped an I want to get this mic working . I am pretty sure I can find the watch batteries locally . Thanks !

Thanks I saw them this last week I went with the guy with free shipping to save a buck an he didn't ship it yet ! it sucks to be cheap like me now I got nothing ! ( yet ):censored:

Now I figured out I can but 10 1.5 volt batteries for $2 an make my own I guess I should have paid attention there might be a test later .

What was wrong with the standard 9 Volt battery that it was designed to use? Just interested.

I know there were some microphones that used a hard to find 7.5 volt battery but i often questioned why. I and many others ran them with an off the shelf 9 volt battery without any issues whatsoever. The transistors used are rated for a LOT more than 9 volts.

Thanks I didn't know that , the original battery I believe was a 7 volt Mercury type battery I never thought of converting it to 9 volts that's an easy conversion even for me I just didn't know if the internals were capable of taking 9 volts an the Capt just answered that question .but the other way I get to stack little tiny batteries an put them in shrink tube an put heat to them ! What could be more fun than over heating a battery ! lol

I don`t think you can find the room to put a standard 9v in a handheld +2 or +3 mic, not enough room.

Ahh ... Had me confused too I wondered how I was going to get 9volt in the mic . Sorry for the confusion , back to stacking watch batteries at least they are cheap .
