here is the specs on this mic. Was wondering if it would work on a cobra etc.

Model 252 Without lift switch. High impedance. 7-foot three-conductor (one shielded) cable. Normally open sw tching for relay control. Outpui ievel: -52 db (0 : 1 voit/microbar). Response: 60- 10,000 Hz,

Turner 250 Series The workhorse series of paging microphones, found in many more applications and new variations of function each year. Designed to stano or a tao,e, the one-piece die-cast case incorporates a iouch bar to actuate leaf spring sw'tches and a locking lever to permit either momentary or lockedon use of ihe touch bar. The lift switch feature incorporated in some models duplicates the touch bar switching junction so the microphone may be switched either with the touch bar or by lifting from the lable surface. All nodels are wide range dynamics. Satin chrome finish. Non-marking rubber leel.73/ttt heighl, 51/ztt depth, 3 pounds weight, 4 pounds shipping weight.

don't have more info it was wired to an old heathkit 23 ch base.4-pin Mic has 3 wires one is shielded.

Cleaning the mic up to restore. It was my Uncle's Mic. There is no battery just contacts. should be able to wire up as a 4 wire or standard cobra style. I was going to try the mic as is but was also wondering is there a good replacement mic element I could put into this mic. most of the replacements are for D104 and require battery etc. any ideas,, Thanks!!!

the 250 is a LO Z (impedance) mic

the 252 is a HIGH Z (impedance) mic
is it a CRYSTAL or CERAMIC element?.......... makes a difference

is there a (blocking) capacitor to stop any phantom voltage to the element?

Dynamic element, which is a magnet and voice coil.

Cant see any blocking cap; that is usually something that you might need to add if you have a modern day ham rig.

Can't tell if it is low or high impedance; probably high impedance because of its age/time period of manufacture.

Looks like it is well made.
