Turner Plus 2 repair

Has anyone got a good idea on how to replace the 9V battery holder or tray in the bottom of the Turner Plus 2 desk mic? They are usually made of a stiff cardboard that wears out and comes apart over the years.
Seems like it would be a good small project for a 3D printer! I have a couple of the Plus 2 mics to put back together but the battery trays are often pretty wasted. It seems to lame to just leave the battery flopping around under the latch which won't even latch well without the battery pressing against it.
Anyone solve this or have a couple ideas?

I have thought about using the package that a single 9v battery comes in. The clear plastic that is attached to the cardboard could be separated and cut out to make a battery compartment. It might be on the flimsy side, but would probably work.
I was just thinking I might try to make one out of brass shim stock from a hobby store. K&S has a lot of that stuff in different thicknesses and sizes. I have nibblers and a Dremel tool. It might be tough to get a good straight bend though.

That would work as long as it doesn't short anything out. You might be able to make a form out of a small block of wood. Make it the size of the inside of the box and fold the sides down around it. And of course we would like some pictures too.

Mouser carries a selection of 9v battery holders, not sure if any of those would work. I don't have a turner mic, so I don't know what style to look for.

Edit: amazon has them too, so unless you have other parts to order to justify the shipping, amazon may be the better route.
